Activities for Families

Sanctuary of Fátima and places of memory

Visit the places of Apparitions, Worship and Prayer such as the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima, the Colonnade and its "Way of the Cross", the Capelinha das Aparições and the Azinheira Grande and the Basilica of the Holy Trinity.
Other spaces of memory and culture are: the Museum of the Sanctuary of Fátima, the permanent exhibition "Fátima Luz e Paz" on display at the Rectory of the Sanctuary of Fátima, the House-Museum of Aljustrel, the House of São Francisco and Santa Jacinta Marto, and Sister Lucia's house.

Aljubarrota Battle Interpretation Center

A museum of avant-garde, among the most modern in Europe, designed to safeguard and enhance the Military Field of St. George, installed in the place where the battle of Aljubarrota was fought in 1385. It presents this battle in an attractive way including a breathtaking multimedia show.

Caves of Moeda and Mira D'Aire

Both caves are immensely beautiful and worth visiting. The caves of Mira D 'Aire are one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Portugal: an authentic underground cathedral!

Old village and Pia do Urso Ecopark

A rural area that has been requalified for tourism. Its old houses have been rebuilt and an ecological theme park set up. The place has a reception and interpretation center, shops, cafes and restaurants, car park, picnic park, playground, and a mountain bike center.

Monument Footprints of Dinosaurs

Located at the eastern end of the Sierra de Aire e Candeeiros contains an important fossil record of the Jurassic period. In it 20 rails or tracks with footprints of sauropod dinosaurs can be observed.
