O Convite (meaning The Invitation) Restaurant, has been run by the same family for almost 50 years. It is the main restaurant of Dom Gonçalo Hotel, but is also open to guests who are not staying at the hotel. Moreover, the restaurant has a direct and separate entrance from the hotel entrance.

A personal familiar touch is visible in every detail: in the careful management or in the fragrance of fresh flowers placed on each table every day. Chef Emília, who founded the restaurant, has left a legacy that the kitchen team and especially the Chef, seeks to honor: the best ingredients from local suppliers are chosen, especially the fresh fish that comes daily from Nazaré beach or the top meats Barrosã and Mirandesa and fresh herbs from the hotel's aromatic garden are added. The restaurant waiter's team add impeccable and personalized service. The result is that this restaurant has been highly reviewed and it has been awarded by the Michelin Guide, in recent years, with "The Michelin Plate: good cooking".

In the O Convite restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, as well as meals for corporate, institutional and family groups and events. The à la carte restaurant's menu combines traditional Portuguese recipes and fresh, local ingredients with contemporary inspiration. Includes appetizers, soups, starters, light meals such as salads and risottos, fresh fish and seafood (including hake, cod, grouper, sea bass and octopus), meats (including chicken, duck, pork, veal, lamb, cow etc.). It also offers good seasonal fruits and a selection of Portuguese cheeses and desserts. Vegetarian options are also available. The restaurant's wine list offers a comprehensive and diverse range of Portuguese wines including an extensive by the glass wine list.
